1979 Brumos Porsche 935 #59

Location

Riverside International Raceway 1980

The 1979 Brumos Porsche 935 #59 is known as Peter Gregg’s last car and the 1979 IMSA Championship winner.
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
In this car, Peter ‘Perfect’ Gregg absolutely dominated the 1979 IMSA season - with 8 wins, 8 straight poles and 100% of his finishes in the top ten, earning him a sixth IMSA Championship title.⁣
⁣⁣
This is believed to be the last remaining unmodified 935 in existence. It remains exactly as it looked when it raced and won IMSA in 1979, including Peter Gregg’s signature tartan seat upholstery.⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
Though bittersweet, this car will go down in history as Peter Gregg’s last car, in which he finished his last full, and perhaps finest IMSA season in 1979. This car also served for the final race of our iconic Gregg/Haywood duo at the Paul Revere 250 at Daytona in 1980.⁣
